It’s true; men do tend to lose weight more quickly and easily than women. Studies of men and women eating a diet of equal calories and exercise have shown men lose weight easier and quicker. The reason goes back to basic survival and the different biological needs of men and women.

Brown Fat: What is It?

Why are we so interested? Preliminary research suggests this special kind of fat, found mostly at the back of the neck and along the base of the spine, seems to be connected with helping control and regulate one’s metabolism and weight.
